TAKE A RIDE ON THE WILD SIDE.

30 minutes from Puerto Natales, Chilean Patagonia, we will explore beautiful open fields on horseback and discover the local culture.

Before leaving for a half or a full day ride, we teach you how to communicate with our beloved horses and how to handle them safely. Sharing a 'mate' tea or a tasty 'asado' barbecue with local meats is adding flavor to these unforgettable moments.

Entering the herd of horses in the round pen, learning about the taming process, about horse care, discovering gaucho equipment, the amazing working dogs, participate in ranch work as driving cattle between summer and winter fields, sleeping in a remote "puesto", making bread together...

There is always something to experiment in wild Patagonia!

GAUCHO CULTURE

For centuries, the gauchos have been taking care of cows and sheep in the most remote and wild areas, living for months in simple conditions, with their loyal horses and dogs as companionship.

No matter what the weather is, a gaucho wakes up early every day to set fire, have his first mate and prepare his meal, which will be slowly cooked while he is outside, taking care of the animals and premises.

They are solitary souls with millions of stories.

The local gauchos will be protagonists of your journey with us.

					Spectacular Half-Day Tour  – My friends and I had an amazing time on our half-day tour. Due to a last minute cancellation, it was only myself and my friends on the tour which made… read more for such a personal experience. Charlotte, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and shared information about the horses, terrain, and ‘gaucho’ life along the way. I have never ridden a horse before so the lessons provided beforehand were extremely helpful; and Charlotte provided real time feedback during the tour to ensure we were riding the horses correctly. The tour included riding through open fields and wooded areas, riding up the mountains for incredible views, and back down through beautiful wooded areas and fields before arriving back on the farm. The horses are extremely well trained and friendly. Charlotte is also an amazing photographer and took soooo many pictures during the tour which was very much appreciated. Overall, this was an amazing experience that far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Puerto Natales area.

Our group of 4 (myself, my husband, and another couple) had one beginner, one expert who owns a horse, and two people with some experience riding. All four of us had a blast and improved our skills. The horses are all clearly well-trained and easy to ride. You will ride through a large valley including up and down slopes and forest, through a creek, past cattle, and up to a great lookout of the valley. Charlotte, our guide, was so knowledgeable and friendly and helped us improve our riding skills while making sure we felt comfortable and safe. It was the most supportive, encouraging environment. We especially loved all of the beautiful photo opportunities! 

It was a wonderful half-day ride with a small private group through the beautiful Patagonian countryside. One of the most freeing and genuine experiences of our whole trip! Cannot recommend enough
