Explore a land still untamed
Only 25 minutes from Puerto Natales, in the Tres Pasos area, we invite you to leave the noise behind and reconnect with what truly matters. Here, you do more than simply ride. You learn to communicate with your horse, ride with confidence, and take in the vastness of Patagonia’s landscapes. We follow old gaucho (cowboy) trails through historic working estancias (ranches).
We ride through native forests, cross rivers, gallop across open pampas, and climb windswept hills where Patagonia reminds you what freedom truly feels like. Every day brings a new adventure in Patagonia.
_ Small groups.
_ Personalized attention

GAUCHO CULTURE
For centuries, the gauchos have been taking care of cows and sheep in the most remote and wild areas, living for months in simple conditions, with their loyal horses and dogs as companionship.
No matter what the weather is, a gaucho wakes up early every day to set fire, have his first mate and prepare his meal, which will be slowly cooked while he is outside, taking care of the animals and premises.
They are solitary souls with millions of stories.
The local gauchos will be protagonists of your journey with us.

Best experience in Patagonia! – As someone who rides back home, it was such a joy to ride Charolette and Enrique’s horses. They were clearly well cared for and loved. Now for the experience, I… read more could not recommend it any higher in fact I had so much fun on the full day tour that I decided to come back the next day to do the half day tour. This is not the traditional walk in a line kind of ride. They teach you what you need to know for the ride and you get to walk side by side through the Patagonia wilderness. Both are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and safety conscious. Again, I really could not recommend them enough!

An Authentic Patagonia Riding Experience – I came to Patagonia to ride horses, and Galope Austral exceeded my expectations on every front.
Just 30 minutes outside Puerto Natales, on the road to Torres del Paine,… read more Charlotte and Enrique have created something truly special. All of their horses are trained by them — well-loved, healthy, and full of personality — a clear reflection of the deep respect they have for both the animals and the land.
The full-day Tres Pasos ride explores a portion of the 4000-hectare estancia, where you ride through remote, breathtaking landscapes that few people ever get to experience – forests, rivers, dramatic cliffs, mountains, and vast pampas – all in complete solitude. Diva was my incredibly sure-footed partner – who knew she was also a prize-winning endurance horse!
Don’t expect a nose-to-tail, cookie cutter ride – this is an authentic experience focused on being with your horse, while being fully immersed in the sheer beauty of Patagonia. Every moment feels open, relaxed, and completely unscripted.
Thank you to Charlotte and Enrique for sharing such an unforgettable experience.

Amazing experience, not to be missed if you’re a horse-lover! – Amazing experience, not to be missed if you’re a horse-lover! My boyfriend and I booked this as a last minute add-on as we had a free day after completing the… read more W Trek and we were so pleased we did. We did a half day experience and it was one of our favourite activities of the whole trip. The staff are lovely and you can really tell they care about the horses and are passionate about what they do. They take time to talk through everything before you start the ride and make sure you’re doing everything possible to ensure the horses are comfortable during the experience. This is definitely not just your standard holiday horse riding experience where you follow along in a line and only walk – you’re given so much freedom and my boyfriend and I were even able to canter ahead on our own a couple of times which was amazing. The scenery and horses are absolutely beautiful and the guides take photos and videos throughout which they sent to us straight away afterwards. One of the best experiences I’ve been on and only wish we’d had more time to do a full day trip!
