We will explore the beautiful and little-known Estancia Lucía, dedicated to cattle ranching. We will ride through native forests of ñire and lenga, cross rivers, ascend and descend hills, and reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the Paine massif, if the day is clear. Your guide will teach you how to communicate with your horse, share with you the rich local culture, and take you through stunning landscapes, away from the most traveled paths. You will experience the essence of the most authentic Chilean Patagonia, learning about its people, their way of life, and the art of connecting with horses.
- You’ll enjoy approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes on horseback, covering around 12 km.
- Daily schedule : 9:30-12:30 or 15:00-18:00*.

1. Estancia Lucia, horse ride opened to all
We will embark on an adventure through the beautiful and little-explored Estancia Lucía, a ranch dedicated to raising cattle. As we traverse the estancia’s vast landscapes, we will pass through native ñire and lenga forests, cross rivers, go up and down hills, and reach breathtaking viewpoints. At a remote puesto — a gaucho's refuge — we’ll pause for lunch and enjoy the rare privilege of being completely disconnected from the modern world. Perhaps the only human face we’ll see all day will be that of the estancia’s gaucho, who might invite us to give a hand with a ranch task or to share a mate in the warmth of his puesto. You will be immersed in rural Chilean Patagonia, where you’ll experience the local way of life and the bond of trust that forms with your horse — that noble companion who carries you toward your dreams.

2. Estancia Tres Pasos, horse ride for advanced riders
We will set off from our stables toward Estancia Tres Pasos for a full day of adventure in the purest Patagonia. This estancia, dedicated to sheep and cattle ranching, is crossed by two rivers and is, without a doubt, the greenest estancia we know in the region. As we explore part of its 4,000 hectares, we will venture into a secluded valley where we won’t encounter another soul. Our route will take us behind Mount Otten and offers unique views of Mount Ventana. We will wind through lenga and ñire forests and traverse wide pampas that invite us to gallop. We’ll cross rivers and take in unparalleled views of the Castillo and Campana mountains. For lunch, we'll stop at a traditional puesto — a gaucho's refuge — before beginning our return journey along the Tres Pasos River. This excursion, in the footsteps of early pioneers, is a true immersion into the rural life of Chilean Patagonia. Your horse will be the perfect companion, carrying you safely across all kinds of terrain

VOLUNTEERING IN GALOPE AUSTRAL
Immerse yourself in the heart of Patagonia, just 25 minutes from Puerto Natales, in a magical and remote setting that preserves tradition and connection to the land.
As a volunteer, you'll be involved in daily tasks: looking for the herd in the morning, caring for and saddling horses, assisting with guided trail rides, and supporting endurance training or multi-day treks. You’ll live with us in an off-grid cabin, responsibly managing natural resources. You’ll become part of the rural life of Torres del Paine, learning its customs and the authentic gaucho way of life. Household chores are shared by everyone, fostering real and collaborative living.
